The mechanical characteristics make the wedge gate valve are ideal for bi-directional shut-off applications with minimal turbulence and pressure drop. The valve design conforms to API 600 and B16.34. Face-to-face and end-to-end dimensions conform to ANSI B16.5 and B16.25.
For wedge gate valves, Trapezoidal threads are provided on the lifting rods. The nuts on the top of the valve and the guide grooves on the valve body convert the rotation into a linear motion, that is, the operating torque becomes the operating thrust.
