Flanged ball valve is a ball valve designed with flange ends on both connecting surfaces. The flanged ball valve can be classified in carbon steel flanged ball valve, duplex steel flanged ball valve, and high pressure flanged ball valve etc. The flanged end types are RF, FF, RTJ, large male and female etc.

The end flange is as international standard, such as ASME/ANSI or DIN.
The ANSI B16.5 covers pressure-temperature ratings, materials, dimensions, tolerances, marking, testing, and methods of designating openings for pipe flanges and flanged fittings in sizes NPS 1/2 through NPS 24 and in rating Class 150, 300, 400, 600, 900, 1500, 2500. The requirements and commendations regarding bolting and gaskets are also included.
For flanged ball valve, size 26” and bigger, the end dimensions meet ASME B16.47
ASME B16.47 covers pressure-temperature ratings, materials, dimensions, tolerances, marking, and testing for pipe flange in sizes NPS 26 through NPS 60. Included are flanges with rating class designations 75, 150, 300, 400, 600 and 900 with diameter of bolts and flange bolt holes expressed in inch units.
ASME B16.47 standard is limited to
- flanges made from cast or forged materials
- Blind flanges made from cast, forged, or plate materials.
